The Sperm Bank of California is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing ethical family building options to their diverse community. They provide services to individuals and couples creating or expanding their families through donor insemination and sperm storage.

Donor profile web application

Alpen Lily built a web application for the Berkeley, CA-based organization to manage their public-facing donor database. We performed an extensive user experience study of their old website, determining the barriers faced by their staff and clients purchasing profiles.  We also worked with TSBC staff to re-architect the site’s pages for ease-of-use, determining how to best present the nonprofit’s wealth of resources and research. The result is a well-thought-out donor database with the ability to purchase donor profiles and an easily navigable resource library.

Data migration

Alpen Lily migrated more than 10 years of donor profile data from the old Drupal platform to the new WordPress website. Additionally, with the help of our partners at Bright Associates, we migrated thousands of purchase records from the old site, so previously purchased donor downloads could be easily accessed by clients.

Pregnancy report solution

TSBC diligently tracks the insemination and birth processes of their clients to produce their award-winning research. This information is captured via the website. Due to the sensitivity of data, we integrated Zoho Forms to get these important reports to TSBC staff safely and securely.
