Olympic Valley Public Service District serves the Olympic Valley, CA, community with water supply, sewage management, solid waste collection, fire protection, and emergency medical assistance. The special district faced a critical challenge as its Drupal 7 website approached its end of life (meaning it would no longer receive security updates). The decision was made to migrate to WordPress to ensure the website’s operational continuity and security, as well as improve usability on the website’s back-end. Also, the organization seized the opportunity and had Alpen Lily do a complete design overhaul.
